We have observed with shock the attempt by Mr, Adewole Adebayo to deliberately mislead the public on what transpired today at the Supreme Court in the appeal filed by Salawu against SDP and INEC.
The impression given by the Counsel to the effect that the leadership of the SDP by Prof. Sodiq was affirmed is deliberate falsehood.
What happened was that the apex Court was of the view that the appeal will no longer serve any utilitarian value since the election has been conducted.
In other words, that the appeal has become academic. The Counsel to Salawu Mustapha (the Appellant) therefore withdrew the appeal. The Supreme Court did not make any pronouncement on the merits of the case.
