Social Democratic Party (SDP) welcomes with immense satisfaction the decisive ruling of the Magistrate Court sitting in Wuse, Abuja, which dismissed in its entirety the baseless and frivolous case instituted against our National Chairman, Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam, and other party leaders.
Her Worship, in a well-considered ruling, upheld the law and dismissed the charges, noting that the court lacked merit to entertain the suit as it constituted an unnecessary interference in the internal affairs and administration of a political party.
This victory marks a definitive end to months of calculated blackmail, propaganda, and public deception orchestrated by one Sadiq Abubakar a self-acclaimed "professor" with no known published thesis and his sponsor, Olu Agunloye. Having long forfeited his membership of the SDP, Sadiq Abubakar was merely drafted as an external agent of distraction to engineer artificial crises, malign the integrity of the leadership, and destabilize the party.
For the avoidance of doubt, the ridiculous allegations of financial misappropriation and other financial offenses leveled against Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam were completely unfounded, fabricated, and designed to mislead the public. Today, the judicial system has vindicated our National Chairman and affirmed that truth and due process will always triumph over falsehood and cheap political hostility.
The leadership of the Social Democratic Party extends its profound gratitude to our loyal members, supporters, and the general public who remained steadfast and confident in Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam’s commitment to justice, transparency, and the rule of law throughout these proceedings.
